We have seen many highlights last week on X Factor USA. I have my preferences, but first in my prediction ill try to be as accurate as possible . I will base predictions basedon comments I've seen, judges preferences(because of singing for survival) , vocal ability, performances, and other factors.
12. Jeff Gutt- honestly this guy is lackluster. Unless he pulls something special out of his cap, despite the judges praise for Jeff , someone else who they won't want to get rid off will also end up in the bottom 2.
11.Carlos Guevera- I personally like him, but, i don't expect him to go much further than this. He's a great vocalist and performer, and can connect really well, but I'm not sure if others are feeling it based on comments i've read. Maybe he should play the cello like shown in his meet the top 12 video, and that will boost him a little further
10. Restless Road -While they are somewhat entertaining, and aren't as bad as I made them out to be before the other groups have something they don't, which is organization. Its like they improv their performances, and one voice chimes in after the other and although I don't mind it the deep voiced kid will drive people crazy. Also, the lead singer's dance moves might get on some peoples nerves. As for me the other kid bothers me. Like last year's Lyric 145, their hype is way over the place they will make. And if the lack of organization isn't their doom, Simon's obvious bias will be.
9. Carlito Olivero- This kid is decent. But he needs to combine his emotional performances and upbeat performances together, or he'll get sent packing like Arin Ray did if he can't manage to combine both
8. Rachael Potter- With the rest of the competition I feel like she won't stand out, especially if Rion Page, Lillie McCloud, and the majority of the competition keep out shining her
7. Ellona Santiago- I like her, but that being said she still seems the weakest of the three girls in her category, and people will complain that she "shouldn't" get another shot at x factor isa because she already had a shot with her group.
6. Lillie McCloud- With her controversy about already releasing some albums and stuff, no matter how good a voice she has, she won't make it much past 6th. Plus also people don't want to be bored all the time, while Simon said Tim's boring, the exact same thing and more accurately could apply to Lillie, Rachael or especially Jeff, despite their talent.
5. While they are "cute" to some people they are also "sickening" to others. For me the only real problem I had with them so far was the stupid performance of blurred lines you'd find at a Vegas bar.
4. Khaya Cohen- Either Khaya or Sweet Suspense will probably make into the finale, though I'd prefer both
. While we all love upbeat performances, to many of them, just like too many slow songs (AI12), can get sickening.
3. Tim Olstad- Is it just me or does anyone think he might be the underdog of the season. He might be a lock in the Top 3 if he uses the piano a couple times in the x factor as shown in his youtube channel.
2. Sweet Suspense- Based on the "love it" performance I can see potential in them. They may even win, but they still have work to do. Celine, Millie, and Summer have an excellent shot at winning
1. I actually think a country act will win twice in a row because she's talented, marketable, has vocal chops, and great emotional connection in her songs.
My preferences; Im not sure if I really have any who I WANT to see leave but I will tell you Im not a big fan of Jeff, Restless Road isn't my favorite and Alex & Sierra could get very exciting or very annoying fast.
Who i DONT want to see leave for a while:
7.Carlito
6.Ellona
5.Tim
1/2/3/4. Rion/Khaya/Carlos/Sweet Suspense- still torn about who I want to see in the finale
. My favorites may change as others surprise me, though the top 4 or even five will at most stay at my top 5 and depending on performance on Wednesday, if Jeff surprises, or someone else higher in mypredictions fail to deliver, that will change my prediction order
